About DevToolsBuilder

Developer-first utilities with JSON at the center—then a wider roadmap of tools you can rely on.

Our mission

DevToolsBuilder exists so developers get dependable, fast, and privacy-respecting utilities without friction. Our immediate priority is authority in JSON—validation, schema checks, formatting, merging, diffing, conversion, and exploration—because JSON is the backbone of modern APIs and configs. From that foundation we grow into additional developer workflows, always with the same bar for quality and transparency.

What we ship today

The product is a connected suite of browser-based tools. Capabilities are grouped around how you actually work with data:

  • 1
Validate and harden — Syntax validation, JSON Schema validation, and diagnostics you can act on.
  • 2
Shape and understand — Viewers, tree exploration, sorting, flattening, key paths, and table-oriented views.
  • 3
Merge, split, and diff — Combine payloads, chunk large documents, compare semantically, and generate patches when you need them.
  • 4
Convert across formats — CSV, XML, YAML, Markdown, text, and more—because JSON rarely lives in isolation.

Where we are headed

JSON remains our anchor: we will keep deepening those tools and tightening the experience. In parallel, we will add and refine other developer-focused utilities that fit the same philosophy—local-first where it matters, clear UX, and no unnecessary accounts or lock-in.

Privacy first

For our in-browser tools, the data you paste or load is processed with JavaScript on your machine—not sent to us for storage or logging. That keeps sensitive API payloads and configs under your control and keeps feedback loops instant.

Built for developers

We care about the same things you do: predictable behavior, keyboard-friendly layouts, and honest limits. Whether you are debugging a response, normalizing a config export, or preparing data for a pipeline, DevToolsBuilder is meant to slot into your day without ceremony.

Free to use

Core tools are free to use with no account required. We believe essential utilities should stay accessible as we grow the product.
