Terms of Service

Last updated: March 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using DevToolsBuilder ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DevToolsBuilder provides free, browser-based developer tools with a primary focus on JSON—validation, schema checks, formatting, merging, splitting, comparison, conversion, and related utilities. Additional developer tools may be offered over time. Unless a specific tool states otherwise, data processing for in-browser tools occurs locally in your web browser.

3. Use of Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

4. Data and Privacy

For our standard in-browser tools, data processing remains on your device. Some optional features may use server processing when you explicitly choose them and the tool discloses that flow. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by DevToolsBuilder and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

6. Your Data

You retain all rights to the data you process using our tools. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to process and the results you generate, whether that happens in-browser or through an optional server-assisted feature you intentionally invoke.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about the reliability or correctness of the tool outputs. You are responsible for verifying results before use in production environments.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVTOOLSBUILDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DevToolsBuilder and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
